"Refereed Works" appearing in the Technology Interface are peer reviewed by at least two reviewers. The review process is indicated below:
The work is submitted to the editors for consideration.
The editors will acknowledge receipt of the work.
The editors will use a double blind review process for evaluation:
The editors will remove all personal and institutional references; assign a code number to the work; and submit it to at least two reviewers for evaluation.
The Reviewers identity will be withheld from the author(s).
The reviewers will evaluate the paper indicating one of four recommendations:
Acceptance as is - the work will be published in the next publication.
Accept upon condition of satisfactory revision - the author will be provided guidelines for revision and will be required to resubmit the work if the author desires to pursue publication. The editors will either accept the revised work or resubmit the work to the original reviewers for evaluation.
Rejection encouraging revision - the author will be provided with guidelines for revision and will be required to resubmit the work if the author desires to pursue publication. The work will be submitted to the original reviewers for evaluation. A second recommendation to "Reject encouraging revision" will disallow the work for further consideration.
Rejection - the work will not be considered for publication
Once a work is deemed acceptable for publication, it will be scheduled for publication in the next release of the journal.
Guest Editorials, Book Reviews, Software Reviews, and Tech Tips are published based upon editorial review.
